Manufacturing Facilities - Coils

With an annual capacity of 24 lac units, the coil manufacturing unit is equipped with the latest CNC machines for winding and cutting. These machines are supplied by BAR Germany and Marsilli, Italy enabling Design Auto to deliver precise windings in its coils where the accuracy may be measured in microns. The wire for these coils is sourced from renowned manufacturers from different parts of the globe.

Each coil is then filled with high quality epoxy in this vaccum chamber, ensuring that not even a gram of air is left inside the coil, a process that ensures zero defect functioning of the end product.

Design Auto manufactures everything that forms a part of its coils, inhouse. Two moulding machines take care of the requirements of coil housing, while in the press shop, lamination are cut and pressed together to strict Design Specifications laid down by the company. Quality checks and tests are done at various stages of the manufacturing process, to ensure that each coil is a guarantee of performance.

Apart from this, Samples are drawn from each batch, and are tested in the QC labs. Working on pre-defined manufacturing and delivery schedules, inventories are kept at minimum while ensuring the goods reach our customers, in time, and ready to power another dream machine.
